This November was commemoration of 100th year since the end of WWI. Illustration shows a Serbian soldier in one of the most difficult moments when everything they had was on their shoulders. It was Serbian army's retreat to Greece in 1915, after refusal to surrender to invading Austro-Hungarian, German, and Bulgarian armies. During the long march, some 240,000 retreating Serbs died from the cold, starvation, disease and combat. Three years later, together with armies of Entente Powers, they were made a breakthrough of Slonica Front and liberated Serbia.
